Current Operating System : Windows 2008 R2
Data Protection Version : DPM 2010
Here’s a simple step that I access to my DPM 2010 SQL. I need to do a backup.
- <Right-Click> on the SQL Server Management Studio
- Select Run as administrator
- In the Server Name column, key in as
- .\msdpm2010
or
- dpmservername\msdpm2010
replace the dpmservername with your server that the DPM is installed on.
- Expand the Databases, then navigate to DPMDB
- <Right-Click> on the DPMDB – select Tasks – then select Back Up …
- Click OK to backup the database
- Default path is : C:\Program Files\Microsoft DPM\SQL\MSSQL10DPM\MSSQL\Backup
